Many employers will match tax-deductible charitable contributions made by their employees, retirees and employees’ spouses. Some also provide matching funds to support employee volunteer hours. To find out if your company has a matching gift program, simply contact your employer's human resource office and ask whether your company matches employee donations.

 

Here's how to make a matching gift:

 

  • Request a matching gift application from your Human Resources office.  Matching policies vary and certain restrictions apply, so please read your company's matching gift program rules. Some companies may request the Community Foundation's Tax ID number before they match.  It is:

  • Take a minute to complete the matching gift application process.  Some companies now have web-based or automated phone application processes.  Paper applications may be returned, along with your gift, to:

  • The Community Foundation will verify receipt of your gift and complete the process.  Your employer will send an additional gift to the Community Foundation on your behalf!
